{Change is in the air}

Change is upon us.

  • Brady graduates in 2 weeks from today. Wahoo baby!!! These past three years have gone by so fast. We are super sad for our time here in Atlanta to be coming to an end BUT super excited for what is to come. We are super excited that Nana & Papa and Grammy & Grandpa are all coming to town for graduation also. We talk about it all the time with Ryker. He is THRILLED to say the least.
  • We are going to Disney World baby!! For our graduation present we are treating ourselves to a few days in the "happiest place on earth" and a few days at the beach before we most likely move further away from them. Ryker is WAY in to Mickey and all of his friends so he is going to have a ball!!
  • The Job hunt begins.  Our top 3 cities are Greenville SC, Nashville TN, and Tulsa OK. We will also be applying for jobs in Fort Worth TX, Dallas TX, Austin TX, Oklahoma City OK, and Fairbanks AK. Last night we were looking at jobs and it was super exciting that all of these cities have lots of openings. So we shall see what is to come.
  • We will be moving in 3 months.
  • Brady takes boards July 24 and we will most likely be moving the 26th.
  • I have already gotten the packing bug. I have started boxing up things we don't use often and putting them in the storage unit. I want to be able to have as much fun with our friends before we leave so I am taking advantage of my nights now.
  • Brady is going to be living at the library for 8 hrs a day studying for boards. This is going to be CRAZY weird since he has been around so much the last 2 semesters.
  • Feeling a bit sad that all of our passes are expired and we wont have many adventures until the move.
  • Feeling sad that I am going to leaving some of my dearest friends.
  • Feeling scared to make new friends. Hoping we moving into a cool ward with lots of friends.
  • Super excited about our Rabner family reunion in Nashville the first week of August. My whole family has not been together since our wedding in 2008.
  • Unsure about this growing up thing and moving on to the next chapter of our lives.
Here is to change. Bring what it may. We are excited!!

{Feeling Sad}

After venting to a dear friend today on how frustrated my boys had been making me today it got me thinking CRAP. I have become that mom that always makes me frustrated by only talking about the bad and how this is not what I signed up for. I am really good at eating my words.

I cant wait to go back and listen to conference this week after my babies go to bed since they were both CRAZY and I didn't get anything out of it the past two days when we were TRYING to watch it. I know I need our prophets help and words of advice to get me through this new stage of not obeying with Ryker. So I am sorry for being a mean crabby person and mama. Tomorrow is a new day I am going to try and be better and strive for more patience with my children.

Here is to finding the good in each day!

{Grayson:: 6 Months}

Dear Grayson,
You are already 6 months old and I can not believe it. You are becoming more and more fun to play with everyday. You think your big brother is super silly {which he is}. He is VERY good at making you laugh and is always willing to help mommy with you. Since you are sick right now and have a super runny nose he LOVES to help wipe your nose and drool for me.

  • You have such a happy spirit about you. You have been sick for almost 2 weeks and yet you still always have a smile on your cute chubby face
  • You are doing awesome with tummy time - most days. You can even scoot backwards about 2 feet and twist 180 degrees before either rolling over or getting too mad that you can no longer reach your toys
  • You LOVE to jump in your exersaucer. You will jump and play with your toys on it for over an hour at a time. This comes in handy with dinner making for me
  • We started you on solids a few weeks ago for dinner and most days do think that's pretty great
  • You love to play patty cake
  • You are not very keen on your car seat or the Ergo
  • You love chilling in the stroller being outside
  • We are still unsure what color you hair and eyes are going to be. They both change depending on the light you are in
  • You love bath time and have even taken a few with your brother
  • You can almost sit up on your own. You will do it for a few seconds before crashing
  • You like to play with Benjamin on the play mat. You think its fun to hold his hand - he is NOT a fan of it
  • You are a drool king. I keep thinking you must be cutting teeth but I still can not feel anything. So who knows
  • You have started sleeping through the night. Not all by yourself - we made you cry it out a few nights and now we are all loving life a LOT more now that we are getting some sleep around here
  • You got to swing at the park for the first time this week and you LOVED it! I think you are going to be just like your brother and want to swing for hours if I let you
  • You are still taking occasional bottles - this makes me SUPER happy!
  • You love being passed around to all of mine and daddy's friends
  • We have all started calling you Gray baby instead of baby Gray - Ryker started this
  • You are a grabber. You want anything and everything you can get your hands on
  • You still have SUPER kicky feet. I cant wait for it to be warm enough for no socks. I am sick of trying to keep them on your feet. I now understand why people don't put shoes on their babies. You never keep them on {Ryker never kicked off his socks or shoes}
Stats: 19 lbs. and 27.5" tall
You are such a blessing in our lives and we love to pieces. I cant wait to see what new tricks this next month brings us.

Love,
Mama

{Easter at Callaway Gardens}

Callaway Gardens is one of my mom's favorite places to go in the spring in Georgia and I would have to agree with her. It is absolutely breath taking. The weather was perfect. The company was perfect. The flowers were perfect. The only bummer about our trip was we wanted to rent a bike trailer there to ride bikes around the gardens and there were none available. I was VERY sad about this but got over it.

 Ryker said his favorite was going to the butterfly house. He was having so much fun with daddy looking at all of the different kinds of butterflies. They really liked the ones that looked like owls. I was also SUPER excited when we went into the gift shop, Brady noticed they had my favorite artist Kelly Rae. I have only seen her work at a boutique in Utah. So I was thrilled that Brady bought me a new painting! He is the BEST ever!
 Well since we were planning on riding bikes all day we didn't have a stroller with us and this is where Gray got to spend the entire day. He was not super thrilled about this. Ryker did VERY well walking everywhere even though he didn't want to.
 Ryker loved that the egg hunt was on the beach. He picked up a hand full of sand for about every egg he got. This little guy sure loves to dig in the sand.

 We had so much fun walking around and taking a million photos in the beautiful azalea garden. I love how full and colorful it was.

We even got a family picture. YAY!!
 I just love this little man's smile.

 These three boys light up my day everyday! They all make me so happy and in love!

The flowers in the horticulture center were so vibrant. Brady and I loved how they had designed their flower beds. It was so beautiful and full of color.
 Ryker loved all of the bunny bushes. He had to have his picture taken with all of them. He was so excited to find all of the bunnies that he was running to each of them instead of begging to be held. It was great!

 We just love tulips! How can they not make you smile.
 Brady and I were fascinated that lilies grow sideways instead of straight up like most flowers. I have only seen them in flower arrangement's not growing in the ground.
I love that Brady and Ryker enjoy going and looking at flowers with me. This was such a fun relaxing adventure with my family.
