Bangs

We are heading down to Las Vegas this afternoon to bring in the New Year and meet miss Arabella. We are so excited to finally get to hold her and love on her!!! Since we are going to be hitting the strip tonight I decided that I needed a hot new look for the occasion. Last night I was brave and cut a full thick bang... I have never had bangs this thick before. At first I didn't recognise myself but now I am loving them. They are fun, sassy, and a change. I am always looking for a new look but I refuse to cut my length so I have found changing up the bangs works for me... most of the time... sometimes they don't turn out so good... but they grow back fast. If you are looking for a new look but want to keep your length try some dramatic bangs and you will be surprised what it does for you. Some people think it makes them look younger... I think they make you look more sophisticated!

We hope all of you have a fun, safe, Happy New Year! Don't worry we will have some good Vegas pics when we return for all of you!

Traditional Rabner Christmas

Liam thought he was being so sneaky moving the ornaments around on the trees in the entry hall.

Merry Christmas!! Opening presents with the family... missing the rest of the family :(

Brady and Weston had twiner shirts... Megan and I are one in the same and actually bought them a few of the same shirts for Christmas and didn't even know it. Liam got some sweet new wheels from Papa and Nana. This bike is so awesome it has blinkers and a radio and is way cooler than my bike as a kid.
Christmas this year was a blast! Brady and I were spoiled rotten by our parents and each other. We stayed the entire week at my parents house and played games, ate yummy food, played in the snow and on the 4-wheeler, and played more games. We even got mum to jamm out on rock band with us. She was better than me on the drums and it was oh so fun to watch her play!
We missed Peter, Shellie, and the kids ( I can't say boy's anymore now that we have little miss Arabella) and Anthony, Kell-a-bell, and Allie Jo. Hopefully next year we can all be together for this wonderful time of year. It was a new good change to have Pappy at home relaxing with us over all the holidays!

A Delta Christmas

Brady and I went to Delta this past weekend for Christmas with his family. This was the first his parents had seen the Mohawk and papa Max decided he needed to sport one also. So we have Mo and Hawk here!

Brady and I were spoiled and received all kinds of fun new things. Marilee made me this awesome apron I am wearing and the best present ever was a Wii !!!!
My arms are so soar from boxing last night its nuts... its only a game and it gives me a killer workout. Oh are we going to have some fun.

We had a weekend of presents, food, games, food, and games. Brady and I only got mad once... Parcheesi is all I have to say.... yes I was angry! If you have ever played this game with Brady you would understand. He CHEATS and is an assassin!

Don't I look so cute in this picture? I think I'm going to keep my braces on for the rest of my life!

Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat

Last weekend was my company Christmas party up in Park City. It was a dinner and casino night. We got to play craps, black jack, poker, and roulette. It was a blast and I learned that it's a good thing I don't really gamble... I stink at it and would loose all our money. The evening was pretty tame for being Brady's first Mountain Land party. We still got lots of good laughs at all of the drunk and stumbling coworkers. Wow is all I can say... drunk people make me laugh lots and I'm glad its them making fools of themselves and not me. Brady did have some "drinking" of his own going on. He had 3 Rock Stars and 2 Red Bulls that night. Needless to say he didn't sleep much that night. I learned that it is difficult to get my groove on with a long fitted dress but I managed.

It is snowing like crazy today and I LOVE it!! It finally feels like December and just in time for Christmas. This week has been fun getting to see all of our friends as we were delivering Christmas goodies. Life just keeps running faster and faster and I am just trying to keep up with it all. I asked a friend this week where does all the time go and she had a very good explanation for that. She said once you are married you are cramming 2 lives into one so there never seems to be enough time. I had never thought of it like that but now it all makes sense to me. Just something to think about if you feel the same way.

Holiday baking with the girls

We Rabner gals have had a tradition for a lot of years that we do a mass holiday baking day every December and bake goodies to give to our friends and family. Last year we started using my showroom for this baking and it was so much easier. We had 4 ovens baking cookies, 2 cook tops to cook candy on and loads of counter space. This year we were one sister and one baby short but still managed to get loads of baking done in 7 hours. I know we are crazy bakers and love to do this. We love to cook together and its a day of fun for us.

We dipped 5 bags of pretzels in chocolate as well as rice crispy treats.

Liam got to come bake with the girls and wondered around the showroom tasting everything we made. He was really good and pretty funny.

This year we tried some new things... caramel... it is Marilee's recipe and it is oh so tasty! Brady's favorite is marshmallows dipped in caramel and rolled in rice crispies so we tried those as well. I made toffee for the first time also. Both new candies turned out pretty good for my first time.

We all showed up in red shirts... that was not planned but that tells you how much we think alike.
Megs not being able to resist the dipped pretzels. What a fun day we had together. We for sure missed you Kelly-a-Bell and Allie but we are happy to hear that you had Wendy to bake with last week.

First game of the season

Thursday was Brady and Tom's first real game with their basketball team. They are playing with Tom's co-workers in a league in Pleasant Grove. Look how excited they are!

We had Liam with us and he was loving the game. His eyes were following the ball up and down the court he was so into it. We also had fun eating lots of pretzels and candy canes with Amanda and making a HUGE mess... oops!

A post game picture after their victory 43 to 39 Liam was loving hanging out with Brady and clapping his hands for him during the game. He also had fun playing with the basketball. I know he looks like he could be ours other than the fact we have only been married 2 months... no babies yet... we just love hanging out with our nieces and nephews.

Newly Weds

Brady and I have been married for 2 months as of tomorrow. Wow time is flying by already. We are finally settled in our house and even have our Christmas decor up. It has been a blast buying Christmas presents for Brady and as everyone knows I am horrible at surprises thanks to my sisters (Megs and Kell-a-bell) they know every ones presents because I have to tell someone.

Yesterday was an exciting day... it snowed for the second time this winter. Too bad none of it stuck to the ground. I am so ready for lots of snow to play in and go snowboarding. Crazy Utah weather and not making up its mind on what season it wants to be.

In case ya'll have not heard or seen Brady yet last week he decided he was a Rock Star and needed to cut his hair into a Mohawk. B
rady thought he was pretty awesome for doing it all on his own. That's right he is amazing... just look at the pictures... I cleaned it up the best I could. I know its a amazing hair cut... I will be opening up my own salon - NOT!

What I came home to.... do you see how wide his hair gets in the middle. Nice try Brady :)

And this is what he looks like now :) I think I did a pretty good job with what I was given and a pair of craft scissors.
