{Sunday's}

This is how Ryker gets ready for church.
He usually gets to watch a "Jesus Movie" on mommy and daddy's bed while we finish getting ready. Ryker heaven! I love how into the movie he was. And of course anyone with a beard is Jesus in his eyes. He is trying. So cute.

{And its a ...}

Boy!!!!!
We could not be more excited. Ryker is going to love having a buddy to help him explore and cause trouble.  We defiantly got a FOR SURE picture of his little manhood. I don't think there could be any mistaking.

{Pregnancy Diary}
17 weeks
  • I have officially felt the little Mr. move 3 times. Today he actually "wiggled" instead of a swoosh/fluttery feeling like the first two.  I love feeling my babies move inside me. Such a cool feeling.
  • I am still able to run and exercise about 6 hours a week! I hope I can keep this up for my entire pregnancy. I have noticed it is helping a TON with my back problems. My back is feeling pretty good 90% of the time which is a TON better than it was with Ryker.
  • I am LOVING mango's. Last week I ate almost an entire box of 20 from Mexico and they tasted AMAZING!
  • I am finally feeling back to myself in the kitchen. I am proud to say I have been cooking dinner every night {vast improvement to 3 weeks ago}. I even made a bunch of freezer dinners. They are fabulous.
  • Let the planning begin now that we know its a boy. I now get to figure out new matching bedding for the boys.
  • I am sleepy a lot but other than that I am feeling pretty good these days.
  • Life is great!

{Broccoli}

This week Ryker made a HUGE step forward in the eating department.
He ate broccoli{chew, swallow, and enjoyed} and actually kept asking for MORE! I'm sure ya'll are wondering WHY this is such a big deal to me??? Because my tiny man does NOT touch veggies at ALL. It is very frustrating to me and I just keep trying and I totally did a HAPPY dance around the house when this happened. I was sad Brady was not home to witness it. So we had to call Nana and brag to her about this step forward.

About 6 weeks ago Ryker's eating habits went from moderate to terrible. He would only eat hot dogs, chicken nuggets, easy mac, cheese, and some fruits{depending on the day}. If I gave him anything else he would throw it across the room {this boy has an arm on him for sure}. I was super frustrated and decided Drill Sargent Mommy needed to come out. We started serving Ryker what I had made for dinner {like I had always done before} and if HE chose NOT to eat it and just throw it then we would offer him fruit and off to bed he went. Lets just say we think he went to bed rather hungry multiple nights a week. Were we starving him NO. Was he choosing to starve himself - YES! But as you have all seen my "Tiny guy" you know he is anything BUT tiny. This past week he has actually been eating dinner quite well and I am finally seeing some progress. It was/is a painful process that is for sure BUT I am SOOOOO happy we are moving forward and he is learning healthy eating habits. We will keep introducing him to veggies and trying them every night and hopefully have more success with him learning they are not yucky but YUMMY!

Mommy = 1
Ryker = ZERO
{For this week!}

{Botanical Gardens}

Last week was Spring Break for all of the schools here so everywhere was doing all kinds of fun things. When we went to the botanical gardens we finally found the children's area that we had heard about but never been to. It was so fun to find.
 Ryker got to wear bug wings. He was kind of unsure about them and their purpose.

 Ryker and I love going on adventures with these two. It was funny on the drive home Ryker kept throwing his toys and I said so sorry to him and then next thing we hear is Ryker saying "Steph, Steph" and he started asking her to get him what he wanted because mommy would not. Hahahah this kid is to smart.
 Em's and Ryker were having fun ringing the bell on the cow.
Where is this water coming from?
Ryker was really funny at every pond {there are a lot here} he would run over to it and say "water, fish" and then lay on the ledge and look in to find the fish. It was cute. We even got to see a frog jump out of the pond and back in and swim around. It was very fun to see.
Ryker loved getting a lady buy painted on his hand and he even got to touch worms for the first time and see lots of frogs jumping around in their aquariums. It was an exciting day for us. Many more to come this summer here I am sure.

{First egg dying}

We dyed eggs with Ryker for the first time in between conference sessions on Sunday.

I don't think he really understood what we were doing but he went along with it. He kept trying to drink the dye - he thought it was juice. None the less we had fun.

And of course Brady and I did our traditional egg roll {we did this on our first date} and I killed him.

{Callaway Gardens}

Saturday was our first of many trips to Callaway Gardens. My mom has always said that this is her favorite place to go in the spring. She is right, it is so beautiful {and most of the azaleas  and dogwoods were done blooming} and I still loved it. There is so much to see and do we were there all day and only scratched the surface. I cant wait to go back and see/do more.
 We all had fun in the butterfly house.
 Ryker loved chasing after them.

 Ryker got to go to his first Easter egg hunt. He loved carrying around his "frogy basket" as he calls it.
The weather could not have been better. It was sunny but not hot. Loved it and loved spending the day with my boys. They are the best at indulging me in all of my crazy adventures.
 Baby bump at 15 weeks.
 Yes, I know I bump out rather early.

 Ryker was VERY anxious to have the egg hunt start.
 And then once it started it didn't really get the picking up lots of eggs part. He would pick up one and then watch all of the other kids near us. He is such a people watcher.

 He kept saying he wanted to go see the Easter Bunny and then when we got to him he wanted nothing to do with him. Classic.
The flowers that were still in bloom were so pretty and so many different shades of pink. Love it.

Cant wait to go and play at the lake beach there. It is so pretty.

Happy Easter
He is my savior and he is risen!

{First Swim of the Spring}

Last week we made it out to the pool twice! We were all loving it! It was hot enough that the cold water actually felt nice after the initial shock.

 Ryke is way into picking and smelling flowers right now.
Cute guy.
I cant wait until swimming become part of our daily routine. Only a few more weeks I am sure.

{Story Time}

Ryker LOVES his bedtime stories.
But he REALLY loves them with daddy. Mostly because daddy will give in and read more than 3 books unlike mommy. He will grab a book and say "lap" and snuggle in your lap with you for his story time.

{Veggie Tales}

We love Veggie Tales in this house and when I heard they were doing a live show near us I knew we MUST go! I am so glad that Lindsey and her kids came with us. We had so much fun jamming out with them. It was too cute every time they would walk off the stage Ryker would say "more, more". I think that tells you how much he enjoyed it. He didn't want it to end.

{More G & G adventures}

Ryker and I love the Yellow River Game Ranch so much we knew we had to take Daddy, Grammy, and Grandpa to enjoy in the fun.

 Ryker you are fearless when it comes to feeding these animals. I love it.
 Ryker was really funny about not wanting to feed the animals his graham crackers. He wanted to eat them instead. Hahaha silly guy.
 This donkey was pretty funny. When we walked away he starting making his honking sounds wanting us to come back to him. I guess he liked the carrots.

 Its a good thing the bunnies are the last animal to see because it is always a fight to leave them. Ryker just has too much fun with them.

{Bear Hat}

Bear Hat
Ryker likes to put his toys on his head and call them a hat. Often times it is "plate hat". Brady decided to wear a Bear Hat tonight. It was pretty funny to me.

{Stone Mountain}

We have had a parking pass to Stone Mountain for the past two year and the only things we have done in this HUGE fun park are go running {I love running here}, play at the park, and see the laser light show. Oh how there is SOOOO much more to do than just that. We were able to get season passes for all of the fun things 1/2 price so did it.
 We got to meet the Easter Bunny.
 Go to the top of the mountain.... I cant believe it has taken me 2 years to do this.... so not like me. But check out this view of the downtown skyline. I love where we live and all of the trees and fun things to do.
Ryker LOVES Jack, Ella, and Lindsey.
When we are with them he runs around like he is one of the big kids.

And at church on Sunday Ryker kept saying their names and Steph and wanting to go and sit with them instead of staying with us. I think we are going to have to try and sit out of eye sight of each other to try and keep him reverent during church.

{cleaning}

Ryker has just started wanting to "help" me clean.
 These are his two favorite - the broom and swiffer duster.
 Sometimes I guess Ryker's head gets dusty also. Or so he thinks. Hahahha!
I love having my big helper around. He brings such joy to our lives.

{Helen, Georgia}

Who would have guessed you could find a bit of Germany in the good old Georgia mountains. We decided to take Grammy and Grandpa on one of our adventures for Spring Break to Helen, Georgia.
 Ryker is really into bugs. He calls any and every bug a "lady bug". This is daddy and Ryker playing with bugs before our hike up to Anna Ruby Falls.
 Ryker preferred Grandpa's shoulders to the backpack. I don't blame him.
 I don't know that I  would really call it a hike. It was more like a stroll up a paved trail to the twin waterfalls. It was nice being outside and enjoying nature.

 Ryker you have started "running" now and it is quite entertaining to watch. You get your arms a going and it brings a smile to everyone to watch. And then you say "I go fast" and you are so proud of yourself. Love it.
 Down Town Helen. Classic German buildings. I hear this place is story book dreamy at Christmas time.
 We were totally bummed out that it rained the entire time so we didn't end up getting to go horse back riding down the Chattahoochee. I am determined to go horse back riding some day.....
 Ryker has started to really love trains. We got to see this neat train museum of the Swiss Alps. This man and his wife created this together. It took them 20 years to build it all. The detail was nuts. At the swimming pool they even had people laying out and playing and everything.

Don't we make a cute little German couple. Hahahahahaha!!!
We did get to eat the best reuben sandwich I have ever had here. SO tasty!
