{Happy 4th of July}

This year was an odd rainy 4th of July. We braved the forecast of rain and headed to the parade and were lucky enough that the rain held out until our drive home.

 Brady had to stay home and take a practice test but we were able to meet up with our friends to keep us company for the parade.
 Gray trying to use his charming eyes on Savvy.
 The kiddies all look so cute and patriotic in their outfits.
 The Neff's
 The Martin's
 The Christensen's
We all got loads of candy and American flags.
 While at home waiting out the rain before our BBQ Ryker decided to play dress up. This silly guy loves to wear my head bands and his latest thing is wanting a towel on like a skirt and we use a chip clip to keep it around him. Not really sure where he comes up with these ideas but they sure do make us smile.

 We were supposed to have swimming BBQ but the rain forced us into the club house instead of the pool. We were happy that the rain let up enough for us to set off a few fire works and sparklers.

This will probably be our last big party with our Atlanta friends. tear. We have had a lot of fun with them over the past year/years and will miss you all. I am proud to be a American and live in a country where we are FREE to make our own choices and I am grateful for all of those who protect our country. We love the 4th of July even though its not quite the same not going to the derby in Delta.

{Safari Zoo}

Well as many of you know I was willing to move just about anywhere as long as they had a zoo within 30 minuets of me. Huntsville does not have a traditional zoo but they do have a safari zoo. I have heard of these zoos before but never been. Its a driving zoo. You buy a buck of food at the start and drive through the "zoo" having the animals come right up to your car and you feed them.
 These animals were VERY aggressive for that food. We would roll down the window, throw the food out on the ground and roll the window back up as fast as we could so the animals didn't come in the car. We learned VERY quickly that we could not leave the window down or we would get some "friends" heads in our car... like an ostrich. I have never laughed so hard/been so scared of animals in my life. I almost peed my pants a few times.

 This camel guy totally spits at your car and almost got his head in our car also. That was super funny/scary. He is HUGE!

 I think Ryker and Grayson thought Brady and I were nuts because we were laughing so hard. If/when you come to visit us we will bring you here to experience it for yourself.
It was fun to spend so much time together as a family on our Alabama trip. Daddy has been studying LOTS and we have not got to spend much time with him.

{Dublin Park}

When Brady went to Huntsville for his second interview the boys and I tagged along to check out the city. Our first stop after dropping Brady off was Dublin Park. It is this super cool wooden castle playground. We had a blast playing there for almost 3 hours. Ryker is getting a lot more brave at the playground.

 These boys sure love to swing. They could both do it all day. I have a feeling we will be spending many of our days at this park playing. It even has a disc golf course for daddy!
On this trip we fell in love with Huntsville Alabama. We never saw ourselves moving to Alabama but we could not be happier with it now. I have been reading about all of the fun things to do with the boys and cant wait to check out some new fun adventures. Huntsville is a very interesting city. You have a subdivision and then across the street it is farm crops and all of this is 15 minuets from downtown. Very different from Atlanta but I like it. Its weird mix of city and country.

{Things that make me smile}

My boys have been troopers through all of the crazy going on at our house in prep for our move. I just needed to remember a few things that make me smile through all of this.

  • Whenever I walk in the door and Gray sees me he crawls as fast as he can to me with the biggest smile on his face. He loves me. I love him.
  • When Ryker shares his snack with Grayson. It makes me so proud of him for being such a nice, sweet , loving big brother.
  • The look of pure love Gray has on his face when crawling after Ryker to play with him. He already looks up to him.
  • The other night Ryker needed to go potty and while in the bathroom he got distracted by my hair. Yes my hair and had an accident on the floor in front of the potty. Why is this funny? Because he was fussing at me to take my hair out of a pony tail. He does not like my hair pulled back any more and anytime I pull it back/up he says "Mama take it out. I dont like it like that. It looks pretty down." It cracks me up that he is this opinionated about how I wear my hair. Silly boy whom I love.
Things that make me sad right now
  • My sister Mugs is in America and yet I don't get to see her for 3 weeks - boo
  • That Kels get to go to Utah and be with my family in 2 days and my sisters will be together and I am stuck here in Atlanta without them.
  • Leaving Atlanta. It is home here.
  • Leaving all of my friends. They really are the best.

{Summer}

Blogging has taken the back burner as I am dealing with our up coming move to Huntsville Alabama in 2 weeks. But this picture of Ryker and Rozlyn and Daphne at our favorite park is too cute not to share. We have been packing, playing, packing, swimming, and packing. Ryker is sure going to miss these girls and I am REALLY going to miss their mama's.
