DISNEYLAND
It was the first time for everyone but me. My sisters now understand the true MAGIC of Disneyland. I love how as soon as you walk through those gates you can't do anything but SMILE! Don't say you weren't warned about the photo overload. I had to edit down 1100 photos {that is what happens when you have 3 cameras} into one blog post. Too many WONDERFUL memories were made on this trip.
We decided to leave Sunday night at midnight so the kids would sleep the first 6 hours of the drive. BEST idea ever. We rented a 12 person van and packed in 5 car seats, 5 adults,6 bags of clothes, 3 diaper bags, 2 double strollers, 1 single stroller, 2 coolers, 2 DVD players, 3 bags of toys, 4 bags of food, 1 bag of games, 5 pillows and blankets, and a LOT of soda. Needless to say it was a snug fit but so fun all being in the car together.
We stopped in Vegas for breakfast at a park to let the kiddies run and stretch their legs.
The kids actually did a really good job on the drive down.. We didn't even have to drug any of them or duck-tape their mouths shut. haha. Once we finally arrived in California we headed down to the beach and got some AMAZING sea food for dinner.
I love walking down the beach watching the sun set and the taste of salt in the air. So refreshing.
We were supposed to get 3 cribs at the hotel but for some reason we only got one. Therefor Ryker slept in the closet. We just like to call him Harry Potter. And YES I know when he is 16 he is going to say I "ruined his life" by doing that. We got a good laugh out of it and hopefully someday he will too!
Buying this balloon was the best money I spent on the entire trip. Ryker LOVED it and it kept him VERY happy while spending many hours in the stroller all week.
One of my favorite stories from the trip was Kels waiting in line for Dumbo with Lyra, Ali, and Sophi all alone. Everyone kept giving her CRAZY eyes and asking her if she went out all alone with her 3 girls all the time. I was with a sleeping Ryker, Megan was waiting in the Tangled line with Liam, and Nana and Papa were having some alone time/kid free time. The kicker of the story is Ali needing to go potty with it was almost their turn {after waiting 35 mins}. Luckily the cast members for the ride were super nice and let me take her to the bathroom and then sent us to the front of the line for our turn.
Liam LOVES Rapunzel he wanted to wait the 1 hour in line to meet her in her house. It was TOTALLY worth it. The kids got to actually talk to Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. It was TOO cute.
Mickey's House. Ryker being a monster and hating on Auntie Kels.
It was a perfect throne for Ryker on his Birthday. Too bad Ryker was not very fond of Mickey. I think he scared him.
Minny's House. Ryker's favorite part was watching her dishwasher clean the dishes.
Papa learned how to become Ryker's best friend - share drinks with him. He loved the frozen lemonade.
All tuckered out on the tram ride back to our car.
My favorite part of the trip were the parades. It was such a BLAST singing and dancing with the kids. Disneyland is SO much more fun with kids. You get to be so silly and enjoy the magic even more.
Our stroller brigade. Nana and Mugs soaked from head to toe from the bear river run.
Ryker soaked through his clothes while in line so Nana and I had to try and change him while in a fast moving line. It was quite comical trying to do this.
Our last night at Disneyland we stayed until midnight. The kids managed to stay up until about 11:30pm and then passed out. I love the firework show and the pink glowing castle. So dreamy.
We had such a MAGICAL trip. Ryker surprised me by really enjoying most of the rides with his bright eyes.
The drive home was a whole other story. We had a car full of puking kids and then it passed on to Nana and Mugs. We had a total of 6 puke stops I think. Needless to say we went through a LOT of wipes, the car smelt awful, and it took us 14 hours to make a 10 hour drive. But Ryker still managed to make the best out of it by enjoying red veins.
Disneyland ='s HUGE success!!
We can't wait to go to Disney World with daddy!
