{Pinewood Derby}

Last Saturday our Elders Quorum had a pinewood derby. Brady only had a few hours to make a car {due to being super busy with school} and we do not own wood working tools. Brady was a rockstar and made his car using a pocket knife, palm sander, and a very limited selection of craft paint that I had on hand {he only had like 5 colors to choose from}. Did either of us think his car would do very good??? ummmm..... not really but hey he had a car to race right..... well 

 Guess what we were wrong. His car ended up being fast enough to take second place!!! 

Wahoo!!!!

We were shocked and very proud. 

Ryker and I were bummed about not being able to make it {we had a rough day and bedtime was needed}. 

Lesson learned - you don't have to have a super fancy car to do well! Take that Pete! {well actually I told Brady he should have called you and had you mail him one of your cars because we didn't think he would have enough time to build one.}
